For this assignment we took geometric shapes and made 3-D models on the sketch up application. However, we did not stop there we proceeded to make the shapes into buildings and make our own miniature city.
For this project we were required to construct a golf course in which we made 8 different holes in AutoCAD and then proceeded to construct it in sketchup by adding depth, design and a realistic touch through the 3-D software.
For this assignment our class had to choose a skyscraper, mine being the CITIC Plaza in China. We then had to replicate it using details and depth that the skyscraper held.
For this assignment we were tasked to choose between a western or Eastern beach house to design in sketch up. After choosing a western beach house I looked at reference photos that would help me in my designing process. I choose a house that had a modern, sleek feel to it that couldn't normally classify as a beach house but is, none the less. For this design I tried to focus a lot on the details to ensure that the house looked realistic and added attributes that were in my reference photo while still staying independence in the design.
